A google search for janitors will bring you a large diverse list of people, companies and services at the touch of a button.
But how do you know which one to choose from? Just because they are at the top of the list on the first page doesn’t mean they are the best one to use, it just means they have a better IT strategy than the rest.
The best way to look for and hire a janitorial company is to know exactly what it is you want. If you know what it is you want cleaned, what duties you want the janitorial company to fulfill, how often you need a cleaning, and when you want it done, then chose several different companies and start asking questions. Ensure that they are capable of doing the things you need them to do, that they have a track record of success and that they have the knowledge and the training to care for your space. You should also ensure that they have at least 5 million liability insurance and that all their employees are covered by WCB. Many mom and pop companies pay their employees under the table and do not have WCB.
Once you have several suitable companies picked out, ask to have a formal written quote from the candidates. It never ceases to amaze me how often service companies come out and walk through with me, measure, ask questions etc. and then do not send me a formal written quote. Not sure why they would spend the time and not follow through but you would be surprised how often it happens.
Once you’re satisfied that you have enough information to make an informed decision then pick your candidate and have them get on with the job of keeping you commercial space clean, neat and ready for your staff to work.
At the Cleaning Command we can find the right price, the right schedule and the right package to help you address your janitorial needs.
